NHBA Indians outlast Dodgers

The Indians held off the Dodgers, 12-10, in Newport Harbor Baseball

Association Mustang Division (9-10-year-olds) play.

Teddy Steffel homered, singled, scored three runs and pitched

while Logan Friend had three hits, three runs and four RBIs. Scotty

Steffel singled three times while scoring two runs and knocking in

three.

Cole Blower and Zach Porteous also saw time on the mound and

contributed at the plate. Porteous singled twice and scored two runs

while Blower added two hits, a run and two RBIs.

Christian Ochoa singled, doubled and scored three runs while Tobin

Frome crossed the plate twice to go with two hits for the Dodgers.

Cody Caldwell singled and played strong defense while Robert Lawrence

had two singles.

In the Pinto Division (7-8-year-olds):

* Austin Smith made a solid catch in the third inning while Bryan

Shollin and Martin Jr. Najera also showed strong defense for the Red

Sox against the Yankees.

Timothy McGetrick singled twice and doubled while Duke Morales and

Robert Alexander each reached base three times with solid hits.

Spencer Buchanan and Estevan Muniz added hits for the Red Sox.
