Golf’s perfect partnership

The Toshiba Classic did it again.

For the seventh year in a row, the Champions Tour stop at the Newport Beach Country Club raised more than $1 million for Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian ? topping out this year at $1,010,000 to keep the streak going.

For those keeping score, that’s more than $8.8 million over the past nine years.

The tournament once again lived up to its reputation as being one of the community’s biggest events of the year. With its connection to Hoag (not to mention the game of golf), it is an easy one to support ? whether through attendance or money.

As always, the volunteers were happy and helpful. The golf was excellent and exciting. And the money will help make Hoag bigger and better. How much more perfect can it get?
