CIF First Serve Tournament
CYPRESS — Corona del Mar won the tournament with a 6-0 win over South Hills Saturday at Cypress College.
Shelby Anderson and Sophia Chen won 8-1 at No. 1 doubles, Erica Chen and Taylor Fogarty clinched the victory with an 8-1 win at No. 2 doubles in the final.
Shea O Hill and Paige Kenerson won 8-2 at No. 3 doubles during the Sea Kings’ 6-0 win over Long Beach Wilson that put them in the final.
Before that, Olivia Dajee won 8-2 at No. 1 singles and Siena Sharf won 8-0 at No. 3 singles during CdM’s 5-1 victory over El Dorado.
In the first round, Sophia Chen won 8-4 at No. 1 singles, and Kenzie Purcifull and Taylor Fogarty won 8-5 at No. 1 doubles to lead the Sea Kings to a 4-2 win over Cerritos.

GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL
Durango Fall Classic
LAS VEGAS — Corona del Mar finished fourth in the tournament after losing to Redondo Union, 25-18, 25-16, in the third-place match Saturday.
Torrey Pines won the tournament.
CdM began the day with a 25-17, 25-14 win over Liberty to advance to the quarterfinals, where the Sea Kings beat Horizon, 25-13, 25-22. In the semifinals, Assumption beat CdM, 25-19, 25-20.
Sophomore Hayley Hodson and senior Kelsey Humphreys were named to the all-tournament team.
Newport Harbor competed in consolation action and won the “Classic Bracket” after a 25-14, 25-19 win over Edison.
The Sailors scored a 25-14, 25-15 win over Wilson in the Classic Bracket semifinals. Newport Harbor beat Shadow Ridge, 25-14, 25-19 in the Classic Bracket quarterfinals. The Sailors qualified for the Classic Bracket with a 25-16, 25-6 win over Durango.
