Estancia Tournament

COSTA MESA — Estancia High senior Cassie Stevenson earned medalist honors, while Newport Harbor claimed the team crown on Monday at the Costa Mesa Country Club’s Mesa Linda course.

Stevenson shot two-over-par 72 to edge Newport Harbor’s Grace Ferrell by one shot in the 18-hole event.

Newport Harbor’s Tara Hanna was sixth (81) to help the Sailors shoot 446 as a team, five shots better than runner-up Millikan. Estancia (510) was third.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY — Abby and Emma Griffith had seven kills each to help the visiting Eagles earn the 25-12, 25-19, 25-22 nonleague triumph Monday.

Estancia is 5-5.

Sage Hill def. Calvary Chapel

SANTA ANA — Sophomore outside hitter Holland Mckenna had 20 kills, 17 digs and three aces to lead the visiting Lightning to the 25-23, 24-26, 25-18, 25-20 nonleague victory Monday.

Senior outside hitter Maggie Danner had 18 kills and nine digs, while sophomore setter Maddy Abbott chipped in 41 assists, eight digs and three aces for the Sage (5-1).
